The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization designed to develop a spirit of community among academically motivated students. The purpose of the Palmer Ridge National Honor Society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render meaningful service, to promote leadership, and to develop character among NHS members and the Palmer Ridge High School community. Selection for membership is based on outstanding scholarship, character, leadership, and service.

Juniors and seniors with at least a 3.75 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply no later than September 28, 2011. There will be an information meeting on Sept. 9 at 7:15 in the Sunset Room. Here is the application. Applications must be submitted to Mrs. Mann or Ms. Howard by 3:15 on Sept. 28, 2011. The induction ceremony for new members will be Oct. 17 at 7 p.m.
